HGV insurance is designed to deal with HGV’s, also known as Large Goods Vehicles. Can you provide cover for hazardous goods or locations?

Do I need an operators’ licence to operate as a haulier or goods vehicle operator?

What is Insurance Premium Tax (IPT)?
Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) is a tax on general insurance premiums, introduced by Kenneth Clarke in the 1993 Budget, and set by the Government. All quotes and premiums will include IPT at the current rate.
Do you offer quote for couriers?
No, we don’t offer cover for couriers.
Do you cover me if i only use my van for personal use and not for business?
Yes. When you start an online quote, if you don’t use your vehicle for business use, then simply select “Social and commuting” when asked the question “What do you use the van for?”.
Can i get my van insured under my company name?
We do not offer quotations in a company name. The main driver must be the policyholder, the owner and registered keeper of the vehicle.
